Scordatura - Torment Of The Weak (Review & Tour dates)

Torment of the weak
Blast Head Records
30 July 2013

These Scottish death metallers is about to release their debut these days, about seven years after they formed (2007)

Scordatura plays pure death metal with an edge to it,
and they are not messing around as this is brutal and aggressive, but at the same time leave room for some cool hooks and riffs.

As I listen it's hard not to think about bands such as Deicide,Morbid Angel,Napalm Death and at times the guitars sound similar to Pantera's 'Far Beyond Driven, the similarities stops there though.

I'm quite surprised by the quality of the album overall as it's
very good produced and it seems like these guys know very well how to play and the most important thing make good and enjoyable music.

Scordatura surely deliver on their debut 'Torment The Weak' which is a solid piece of work and one of those albums I can listen to the entire album without any problems.

They are have toured a lot in the U.K. with other well known death metal acts and waited a while before releasing an album, sometimes that's not a bad idea.

'Definitely a band to check out and follow if you're into death metal.
A solid piece of Scottish death metal at it's best
leaving you with eight tracks to grind your teeth to'

Tracks to mention :

Visceral Disembowelment,Sutured Flesh.Incestual Covultions

San Francisco Bay Area thrash bands have long been known for their in-your-face approach to music, and Potential Threat SF are no strangers to that tradition.
Originally formed as a five-piece in 1986, they have shared the stage with everyone from Testament to Slayer to Cro-Mags to Nuclear Assault, and just recently returned from touring with Death Angel. Their hard working, no holds barred attitude carries over to their live shows. Though they put every ounce of grit and determination into their set, they still manage not to sound like angry old fucks. Their mentality is simple - it's just as easy for a band to get the audience involved in their show as it is to be pissed off and push them away. In short, they still have fun and show it on stage and to the fans, regardless of how long they've been playing or how many people are in the attendance.

Their newest offering, Civilization Under Threat (to be released by OSM Records), gives a nod to the old school by combining aggressive, commanding vocals with dual guitars and a thundering bottom end. Engineered and mastered by Juan Urteaga (Machine Head, Testament, Heathen) at Trident Studios has given the album a massively heavy quality without being over-produced.
The band consists of Mike Noble on lead vocals and lead/rhythm guitars, Daniel Sheridan on lead/rhythm guitars, Kenny Noble on drums and Damien Sisson (also in Death Angel) on bass.

AMONG GODS: A monument in the work!

AMONG GODS: A monument in the work!
We are happy to report that Norway's dark sons of doom AMONG GODS re-signed with PRC MUSIC for the band's anticipated album number two.
Entitled “Monument”, the new album is a 45 minutes long opus into heavy, dark and doomy old school Death Metal, somewhat similar to the band's self titled debut released earlier this year.
Here is what PRC MUSIC owner Rémi Côté had to say about the band's new aterial:
“I was blown away by the rough studio cuts I have heard of the new album, the music is darker and dare I say more melodic while keeping a gloomy, desperate feel to the general aura of it all… The vocals are amazing! I'm a fan of SYRACH and Ripper's voice is unique! I can't wait to plunge into the whole thing. I am very happy to be working with these guys once again!”
AMONG GODS are currently putting the final touch to the new recording and making plans for a full blown European tour and yet another release, a limited edition 2 songs 7" EP.
“Once again AMONG GODS will crush the earth via PRC Music. “Monument” will gather the black souls and we'll march towards doomsday!” (Lars – AMONG GODS)
“Monument” is scheduled for february 25th 2014 and will be available on CD and in Digital.
